As you may know, the Government has advised that, religious groups should not gather together in person during this period of social isolation.
This has also been echoed by the Baptist Union.
Following this advice we have made the decision to close all activities and meetings until further notice. This affects all of our meetings, including our Sunday meetings and all groups that run throughout the week.
This has not been an easy decision to make but we must follow the advice given. We will endeavour to keep everyone updated and we are currently looking at alternative ways of encouraging each other. Remember we are all in this together, keep in contact with each other (especially the more vulnerable), show kindness and grace in all that you do and use this time to draw near to God in prayer. We do not take this decision lightly but in love for one another.
John 13:34-35 (NIV)
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
If we can help in anyway please do not hesitate to ask.
We have also set up a telephone line specifically to assist those in need during the isolation period. The telephone number is 07395950982.
Thanks and Blessings,
The Ebenezer Baptist Church Leadership Team
